During my days in Karunya, I learn lot of attributes which moulded me into a complete person physically and spiritually. The Faculty who taught me were really good and motivating. Values I inculcated from every morning counseling sessions shaped my character. Needless to say, the pleasant and soothing climate in the region tops it all. The motto of the Institution – Arise and Shine captivated me and made he a powerful person who I am. I thank Almighty God for choosing me to study in Karunya.

On passing out from KIT with a B.E Mechanical degree in 1990, I joined the Education Branch of the Indian Navy in Feb 91. Now as a Commodore, I head the Faculty of Sciences and Humanities at the Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala since 2018. Looking back at my Karunya days, I consider it a sheer privilege to have studied there. For it was there I was emboldened to dream like its visionary Founders. The resources of the Institute equipped me to hatch audacious plans for the life ahead. Time on the campus in the playfields, laboratories, field trips, and conferences empowered me to tap synergy of team work. I am indebted to Karunya for setting me on the path to success.

Karunya University – A Gateway to Success. Karunya developed a positive attitude in me enabling me to learn new technologies over past 28 years of my career. Latest Industry oriented electives viz., Radar Engineering and Optical Fiber Communications were offered as early as 1991. This was very useful for me in getting my first career breakthrough in the Indian Air Force, as well as overall development of my Professional career. As Karunya motto says Arise and Shine, Karunyan’s are shining all over the world. The seeds of excellence sown in Karunya helped me to shine not only in secular field but also in the spiritual field.
